Testing of Material Mechanical and Physical Properties

The basic tests realized in the laboratory are: static and dynamic tests of mechanical properties of materials (mainly plastics, composites and metals), namely tensile, pressure, bend, shear and torsion tests. These tests are used for the determination of material rigidity and strength.

The above-mentioned tests can be realized under various speed and temperature conditions

For visco-elastic materials (such as plastics and composites) creep and relaxation tests can be performed. As for other physical properties, coefficient of linear thermal expansion and transition temperature of glass can be determined
