Development of Computation Methodologies

To solve problems effectively it is necessary to apply such methodologies that are sufficiently exact for the given purpose and at the same time require as little time and/or material equipment as possible.

Example of task specification: To design a computational approach to be able to design „air-water“ heat exchangers resistant to vibrations. The complex simulation approach was demanding already in the stage of model creation. At the same time it required extremely powerful computer technology and in practice unacceptably long computation times. Various approaches had been tested on a specially designed model. A physical sample had been produced and measured in the laboratory on a vibration stand. Comparison of the results from the sample measurement and calculated results allowed determination of optimal computational methodology, which is now used by the customer for the development.
