About Us

LENAM stands for Laboratory of Experimental, Numerical, and Analytical Mechanics. We are a Czech engineering and development company based in Liberec with more than 30 years of experience in simulation methods and experimental mechanics. We combine academic know-how with a deep understanding of industrial practice.

How LENAM Was Founded:
From Academic Enthusiasm to Industrial Excellence

There were five of us at the beginning. A group of university enthusiasts from the Technical University of Liberec who wanted to collaborate with industry and apply simulation methods in practice. However, in the 1990s, the connection between academia and the corporate world was slow and limited. That is why we decided to take our own path and founded LENAM – a company that has been dedicated to future technologies from the very beginning.

At that time, simulation methods were still in their infancy, and their application in industry was limited to only a few specialists. We invested our enthusiasm, academic knowledge, and a strong desire for continuous learning into them. These principles remain part of LENAM to this day – we continue to draw from the academic environment and develop new talent.

A Stable Partner with International Reach

From a small team of enthusiasts, we have grown into a multidisciplinary and stable engineering company with a clear structure and defined responsibilities. Our first major client was Škoda Auto, with whom we have been cooperating for more than 30 years. Over time, we have expanded our service portfolio, strengthened our team of experts, and systematically built the foundation for increasingly demanding technical projects.

In 2018, AUREL became our partner. This created a unique combination of simulations and virtual testing with experimental validation. Together, we offer our clients comprehensive solutions in one place and collaborate on the development of innovations. In the same year, we became part of the group Colegium Holding, which streamlined our administrative processes and certifications and opened the door to international projects. Today, we operate not only in the Czech Republic, but also across Europe and in China.

We Are a Member of Colegium Holding

LENAM is part of Colegium Holding s.r.o., a dynamic group of companies owned by the family of Petr Šimák. The holding is built with a focus on long-term financial stability, strategic management, and well-planned acquisitions that support business diversification and further growth.
